It seems that every recruitment agency claims to be “the leading recruitment specialist” in their sector. They say they have more experience than anyone else, they care the most about their clients and candidates plus, of course, they have the biggest database.

Ever since he was a young boy, happily pottering away and ‘creating’ things in his Grandad’s garage, he has been inspired to seek out new ways, think creatively, question the norm and explore better answers.

Going through the education system Daryl always wanted to help others and would always prefer to see the students he mentored achieve great grades. Becoming a teacher was a common message from his teachers on parents evening.

However, he loves to change people’s perceptions. Estate agency was first on the list…

So, at a little estate agency in East London Daryl quickly gained the reputation as the go to person as he made the whole process smooth and stress free. He would contact the banks, solicitors, chase the council for searches – customers loved his attitude to go above and beyond.

So, when, in his role as a branch manager of a local Estate Agency, he saw the problems in the recruitment industry that he has once faced in estate agency, his strong passion to make a difference kicked in. He started to get a feel for what needed to change in the industry and became fully committed to delivering a better approach and a better way of working to the world of recruitment.

His commitment to bringing a fresh, more integrated approach to the industry led to him launching Whitelist Talent and ensuring that his own strong values underpinned everything it stands for. Daryl values building relationships, listening to his clients and gaining their trust. He values bringing fresh ideas to the table, with innovative, forward thinking.

He also has an unshakeable ‘can-do’ approach and considers that there is always a way. Presumably down to his love of sport as a child – he was never a good loser!

His mission to make a difference ensures he never stops looking for and designing the best possible solutions for his clients.

It’s what gets him out of bed every morning.

Maybe he will go into politics after… or not.
